John was born in Swansea, South Wales but moved to Barry just outside Cardiff where he has spent most of his life. Presidential Trail is the first novel in the successful Kane Rhodes/Brian Jones thriller/espionage series. He has developed two strong but very likeable characters and as British agents (spies) for MI6, their missions to combat terrorism take them all over the world.
John has the knack of introducing new characters and scenes without detracting from the main thread of the story. His novels are action packed, fast paced and page turning to the end.
Presidential Trail was quickly followed by The Shir Khan Prophecy, Treacherous Assignment and Lethal Credentials. John's latest novel, The Lion Man is a change from his normal genre but still has the attention to detail and fast-paced action he has become noted for.
I do like the author's style. This is a promising first effort and bodes very well for his future publishing career. Kane Rhodes, the main protagonist, is an interesting character and could doubtless be the basis of future volumes.

As with Lee Child, the good attention to description and detail makes the reader discern, as they go along

the purely descriptive clues to the story's ending. That does make it a decent read.
